Oh, terrific, does this mean you’ll be imprisoning Asian Americans without due process again if you’re elected President?

I’m also aware that Roosevelt turned back boats with Jews trying to escape Hitler that should not have been turned back. And more. There were quite a few things he did that we would criticize today. But life isn’t simple. We need to look at historical figures in the context of the entirety of their contribution. And his was huge.

THIS is your response to criticism about FDR signing the order locking up 110K US citizens and US legal residents solely because of their ethnicity?! We have to look at the context of their total actions, like that makes it okay? Please visit Manzanar NHS and educate yourself.

The good and the bad of historical events need to be taught. One don't get to pick and choose the highlights they like 🙄😒

Do you know who writes immigration laws? Do you know anything of the Johnson-Reed Act of 1924? Do you think the President has the power to ignore the law and do whatever he/she wants? Go back to praying on your crystals, you have no business near the WH!

So “life isn’t that simple” when it comes to your heroes, but there’s absolutely no interest in nuance when you’re bashing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the most effective, progressive Administration in any of our lifetimes.

There's no contextualizing forced internment of Asian Americans and turning back Jewish people escaping the Nazis other than stating the facts, which are that both were done with racist and antisemitic intent, respectively. It IS that simple to know right from wrong, Marianne.
