Oh, terrific, does this mean you’ll be imprisoning Asian Americans without due process again if you’re elected President?

Replying to @TonyMoonbeam
I’m also aware that Roosevelt turned back boats with Jews trying to escape Hitler that should not have been turned back. And more. There were quite a few things he did that we would criticize today. But life isn’t simple. We need to look at historical figures in the context of the entirety of their contribution. And his was huge.

Right. You cannot ignore the good things a person did because of the bad things they did. However, it is best to lead with the bad things a person did before pointing out the good things because that ensures no one can claim you are endorsing the wrong they did.

This is someone who has never heard of the Evian Conference

In the context of the entirety of YOUR CONTRIBUTION, you’re a whack a doodle with a racism problem. You are NOT qualified to run for president and I wish you & your woo woo stick would astral project back to your home planet. Get lost space mom!

Using that flawed logic, no atrocity in the past could be viewed as wrong. You are acting as if these things weren't known to be wrong at the time. Don't you have some crystals to play with?

Show us your credentials. That means proof that you can do the actual job. Oh, that means governing and not tweeting and whining to the media 🙄 oh and you are racist.

I feel like if you are dismissive with today's Democrats, like President Biden, or the Congressional Black Caucus, to the point of calling them DINOs, based on your view of their shortcomings, you'll have to own to everything that was the FDR presidency, internment camps and all.

You should really believe your staff when they call you stupid behind your back.

You're right, he does have a big contribution rarely discussed. He is a big part of the reason redlining was able to implode black people's potential at economic growth, which stunted us for decades and kept us from being able to grow wealth in our communities. Thanks, FDR.

I will give Roosevelt credit for a lot of good but his idea of progressivism did not include Jews like me or any other minority (same with many today). People are complicated but their actions are often barbaric and wrong. FDR did a lot of evil along with the good.

So put it in context. Somehow though when white-centric leftists like you talk about FDR, you simply never mention the dark side.
