I’m also aware that Roosevelt turned back boats with Jews trying to escape Hitler that should not have been turned back. And more.There were quite a few things he did that we would criticize today. But life isn’t simple. We need to look at historical figures in the context of the entirety of their contribution. And his was huge.

Sure, but historical context is needed too, as well as viewing FDR in terms of the impact of his presidency. You can't take WW2 and its consequences out of that. To me this is only a little better than Republicans trying to claim Lincoln. The line from FDR to Biden is clear, and
