Democratic elites (DINOs) act as though progressives are trying to hijack the Democratic Party…but the opposite is true. *They* highjacked the party. The progressive vision is unequivoical advocacy for the working people of the United States - the traditional Rooseveltian vision of the Democratic Party. Some would consider Franklin Roosevelt too much of a lefty radical to even be let into the party today! So when a Democratic elite says to a progressive, “Who let you in?” - just say to them, “Who let YOU in?!”

We agree then, Marianne, the party is Hijacked by the neoliberal elites, and its operating mechanics are irreparably compromised. Bernie tried to overcome them, twice, and failed. Please don’t repeat his choices. Plz run as Independent. Dem Party has power to choose its winner.

Look, the world has changed radially since the 1930s (FDR’s day). So let’s stop this MADA, ok? (Make America Democratic Again). The party *itself* is obsolete. Only two parties is absurd! Forget Washington. The most good is done locally, and widely networked, from now on.

No, Marianne. The progressives ARE hijacking the party from the corporatists. Learn your history. Progressives have lost ground in recent decades and we are trying to get it back, but the Dem party has come a LONG way from 100 years ago.

Perhaps naively, I admit to having a vague sense that @marwilliamson has the potential of becoming a voice for the left. But unlike 2016 & even the beginnings of 2020 when I & many others put some hope into Sanders, skepticism of sincerity & fear of betrayal is 1/2

No disrespect, but I can't wait for our Generation L to pass the torch to new Progressives.
