A government should not be guided by the priorities of corporate interests; it should be guided by the priorities of a healthy family. First you make sure your kids are OK, that they are fed and healthy and educated and safe. Then you make sure your home is OK, which for society means the earth on which we live. Then you make sure we take care of each other. Only when we shift our priorities from an economic to a humanitarian bottom line will we end the self-destructive trajectory by which we destroy lives and even the earth itself with such irresponsibility and reckless abandon.

Government should not dictate what is taught in schools. Conflict of interest. Let the teachers and parents of each community serve their students best. Yes, fund schools. But no more one-size-fits-all curriculum and pedagogy. “No child left behind” was an oxymoron.
