During the run up to the Iraq War we put up NO WAR signs in our front yard, and someone on the street would take them down every night. We would get up every morning and simply put them up again. I kept saying it was like Vietnam all over again, and people would call me “a facile thinker” who “didn’t understand.” Dennis Kucinich was in Congress at the time, warning against the war, ridiculed for what we now know to have been his prescience and wisdom. He told me one day that Congress felt like it was filled with “war fever.” The only thing we can say about the Iraq War now is that it was pure criminal madness. Anyone saying now that “they did the best they knew how to do at the time” is lying. Everyone who voted for it - including our current president - went along with something that anyone willing to look deeper into the facts knew even at the time was wrong. Beyond wrong. Hideously wrong. May God forgive us.
I was working for Rep. Dave Obey during the launch of the Iraq War. It was horrible. Obey & other lawmakers trying to to stop it were berated & laughed at by media and political elites, almost all of whom would be rewarded & enriched for lying the country into the disaster.

During the war in Guatemala, a portion of the weapons sent for the Guatemalan army by the US was delivered to the guerrillas. The point of the war was not to defeat communism but to continue to get funding for profits.

Those families who lost loved ones in the war, I wish they would sue every one of the Congress who voted in favor of the war. Not for money but for the acknowledgement that they were wrong. That they will be more careful with our soldiers.

War doesn't touch the wealthy. It enriches them further

Yet you still support the proxy war with Russia. Clearly you've learned nothing

Ho Chi Minh had no access to WMD’s, did not invade a neighboring country, did not launch Scuds at Israel, did not plot to assassinate a former POTUS, did not ignore UN Resolutions & did not gas his own people Other than that, Iraq was exactly like Vietnam

It's fascinating how you can condemn past wars, but not have that same condemnation towards the current one in Ukraine. I can't think of a single war since possibly WW2 that the U.S. has not instigated or lied us into, including the current one, but. You'll be saying the (cont)
