An Iowa child labor bill proposes kids as young as 14 could work in slaughterhouses, mining, meatpacking, demolition, etc., under supervised "work-based learning" programs — and it removes civil liabilities from those companies if kids are injured or die. desmoinesregister.com/story/…

Ask yourself why? Ask yourself why we had so many orphans at the end of 19th/ beginning of 20th century? If there are no longer adults to do work - who is going to do the work? Ask yourself what are they preparing for? What foreknowledge do they have?
