The principle governing domestic and foreign policy should *not* be whatever creates more short term profit for huge corporations. Our governing principle should be whatever it is that helps people thrive. Americans being seduced into thinking that the former guarantees the latter has been one of the biggest scams ever foisted upon us. It has led to systemic injustices and tragic consequences, defining an era of governmental callousness toward the people whose job it is to serve.

What helps people thrive is freedom and equality under the law, and the only job for government is to protect rights, not sacrificing and demonizing the successful in order to guilt them into subsidizing the poor.

Wrong that’s not the purpose of business. That’s not even people’s purpose.

The "former" and "later"? Hasn't the law been developed for those living under it? (Sarcasm)

I am called a "fringe candidate". If fringe means fighting to protect America's school children, fighting for relief for the 39 million struggling in poverty? A living wage and medication you can actually afford! Getting the poison out of our food supply! I am guilty and fringe!

If these CEOs and their respective corporations were really the bastions of brute success they claim to be, well then they’d pull themselves up by their own bootstraps while the government provided aid to those who actually pay taxes

You cannot change America for the better as a Democrat/Republican. As soon as you are elected as either, the party leaders and corporate masters give you the talk. You can play the hero and get nothing! You can step in line do as you're told and be a millionaire.
