Pushing back a neo-fascist authoritarian threat is absolutely the primary challenge of our time. But we won’t be able to do that unless we’re willing to analyze how we became so vulnerable to it to begin with. Yes, there is a malignant narcissist who had a lot to do with it. Plus, social media as well. But there was something more, something even more insidious that weakened our democracy and left us open to the threat. FDR said we wouldn’t have to worry about a fascist takeover “as long as democracy delivered on its blessings.” And that is where we’ve failed. The fact that people do not have healthcare, do not have a livable wage, cannot go to college or send their kids to college, do not get help with child care, feel so little economic wind at their back…those speak to the the “blessings of democracy” that our system has failed to deliver. And that is what has weakened our societal immune system. Providing such things now, like a massive infusion of hope and opportunity, is the boost to our immune system without which we will have a very hard time keeping the disease at bay. Too late for vitamins. We need a quick IV.

Are we going to see you oppose sending one cent much less one American boy or girl to die in Ukraine?

1. The federal government is no longer the tool to do all this. Period. Citing FDR is the left’s “MAGA,” call it MADA (Make America Democratic Again). A nation of 333,000,000 people is simply unmanageable by a single government in Washington. We must decentralize.

4. Look at all the energy we’re wasting on partisan bickering and “(hu)man at the top” political struggles! Sure it matters, but who we elect will not save us! Our real power lies within the hive of humanity, helping each other change and adapt to make a better world. 4/4

Name any actual fascist who sought SMALL Government. I won't wait because the answer is ZERO. Most important tenet of actual fascism - government comes first and individual rights are deprecated. It is right to be concerned about that type of thing, but look at gov power.

Millions of voters in the USA oppose such policies, suppose them unethical, will vote against them, at least, and quite possibly become criminal terrorists to prevent them, if other voters support them. Government alone can't solve the issue. Voters need to discuss ethics.

It’s been like this for decades… conservatives in a desperate grasp for power by all means necessary… even Smedley Butler had to deal with these self entitled privileged fascists who can’t handle the smallest bit of democracy…it’s all part of this endless class war @Whitehouse
