I don't care if it's 8 kids. We pay BILLIONS for farmers not to plant their crops- there shouldn't be one hungry kid. And I also think using this issue as a political football to savage the right is sort of gratuitous.... We could talk about how the far left teacher's unions

According to a GOP lawmaker in Minnesota, who voted against free school breakfast and lunch, said that “hunger is relative” and that he has “never a hungry person”. That’s just insidious.
