I cannot even imagine what it would be like to be in your Twenties and carry tens of thousands of dollars of college loan debt. And we wonder where the mental health crisis comes from? Economic anxiety is a pit of despair. Every American should realize that college and public universities were tuition free up until the mid-1960s. Unfettered capitalism is ravenous in its search for a profit center, even if it emerges from or causes human suffering. How dare we tell young people they should have respect for capitalism when they. have. no. capital! None of this will change until we change it. #ANewBeginning

Logic tells me the mental health crisis amongst 20-somethings is due to overindulgance in self medication. It's self inflicted.

Yes we need to start educating people about finances again. They are not being taught these important skills in HS

My daughter has been an absolute mess because of her debt. She will never pay it back and I absolutely support her.

Start by getting the government out of the student loan business. Only after that should we even begin to look at existing loans.
