I cannot even imagine what it would be like to be in your Twenties and carry tens of thousands of dollars of college loan debt. And we wonder where the mental health crisis comes from? Economic anxiety is a pit of despair. Every American should realize that college and public universities were tuition free up until the mid-1960s. Unfettered capitalism is ravenous in its search for a profit center, even if it emerges from or causes human suffering. How dare we tell young people they should have respect for capitalism when they. have. no. capital! None of this will change until we change it. #ANewBeginning

This wasn’t a lottery where people were randomly assigned to have to fork up the money and go to college by government agents! Everybody who took out those loans read the papers and made the decision! What is the beef?

I can't imagine me signing for a loan then expecting others to pay it back.

Suckers! The DNC could have added Student Loan Relief in the BUILD BACK BETTER ACT but chose not to because it’s such a great fund raiser like ABORTION for the DNC. You don’t have the experience or intelligence to know you were used!

I was there when gov took over student lending. That is when tuition skyrocketed. Bad underwriting by big gov means colleges can dramatically increase tuition. People need to consider trades. Welder makes more than writer, or accountant and frankly does more cool stuff.

Marianne, I agree with you on this issue, having $188k in student debt. However, I’m not seeing a lot from you in terms of *how* you will accomplish your plans. You are challenging Biden despite him having pushed the most progressive investment in history through a divided gov.

I’m going to be 47yrs old and I’m still paying off my student loan. For a degree that at this stage in my life is worthless.

There is the option to go to a Community College for 2 years and then transfer to a State School. In other words, live within your means.

My daughter is living that now! Young and strapped with college debt! Why would we hold these young people hostage to this corrupt economic system! We need to stand up for what will help our youth not just survive but thrive! #CancelALLStudentDebt #Marianne2024 #disruptthecorrupt
