Jesus weeps. Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders just signed a measure loosening child labor protections in the state. The bill eliminates a requirement that the state verify the age of children under 16 before companies can hire them.

In Texas I never needed a “work certificate” to get my first job at a toy store so this sounds ridiculous that it existed in the first place.
