68,000 Americans die each year due to lack of healthcare, but the five largest drug companies in the US made nearly $80 billion in profit last year alone. #disruptthesystem

And the prices these big pharmaceutical companies get to extort people for are absurd too, given how much federal funding goes toward these studies and how little they pay the researchers making these breakthroughs (instead to line the pockets of the board of directors)

The president could stop that. The Bath-Dole Act gives the govt. "marching rights," meaning that any drug company taking taxpayer money to develop a drug (which means pretty much any drug now) can be forced not to price gauge.

*Bayh-Dole *march-in Marianne, when you launch a campaign based on the assumption voters are too dumb to realize you don't know what you're talking about, you will lose two very important groups: those who are and those who aren't. Delete this tweet, do not pass go, no $200!

Except drug companies don't take taxpayer to develop a drug. That's a myth.

Can the president stop this ratio

As of this moment, you currently have my vote in the primary - if that becomes relevant.

Indeed, Biden's inaction is what frustrates me greatly. I look forward to you being commander-in-chief and putting these companies in their place!
