In order to win in 2024, the Democratic Party needs to do more than give people hope that they can survive an unjust system. We need to give people hope that we'll end an unjust system.

What @AlexThomp didn't note about the call/response of this "prayer" was the trauma it evoked for one black woman. Marianne Williamson's response? "I want a black man to go hold her." Williamson never approached the distraught woman herself. /3

Ms. Williamson, you have my vote but respectfully, 'hope' is not what we need. We need actual faith that the Democratic party which has lied to us about its intentions so many times can change. Trump was elected largely by the disillusionment Obama's false promises engendered.
