Hyper capitalism has been weaponized against the people of the United States. An economic system exists to serve the people; people shouldn’t live their lives in service to an economic system. Gotta fix that. cnn.com/2023/02/24/opinions/…

Aren't you a book seller? Who is your publisher? Is that not capitalism?

That’s exactly the point. Book publishing is an industry where all stakeholders win: author, publisher, and reader. All invest energy, and all walk away with value. That is righteous profit. Even Adam Smith, the primary architect of free market capitalism, said it cannot exist outside an ethical context. But hyper capitalism, or crony capitalism, is not that. It is a power and money grab by owners and stockholders at the expense of workers. It is not righteous. It is oppressive and tyrannous. It is corrosive of people’s lives and of our democracy. It is the core principle of this economic era, and that era needs to end.

What your plan for helping the people of Ukraine? What is your plan to help democrats win the house and senate? If you not a team player we don't need you.,

Your points come across so well when you put effort into them, like on this one, unlike your 2020 debate answers. We all need you to shake up the next debates.
Oh my GOD, Marianne, you're certainly not doing this to *sell books. There is a much less messy and expensive way to do that: a book tour. I'm going to start calling out the DUMB objections to your candidacy. Honest ones get a listen from me, stupid does not.

“Righteous profit” doesn’t exist. Profit, by definition, is the product of exploitation. Book publishing is exploitative, just like all other capitalist enterprises. Sorry 🤷‍♂️

Book publishers decide what books get published, based on a set of rules that often have nothing to do with the value of a book to the public. So no, everyone doesn't always walk away with value, or righteous profit.
2
And capitalism leads to crony capitalism every single time. So why do you support repairing a corrupt system rather than changing it?

It's an industry where grifters make the majority of their grift money from.
2
So book publishers are righteous profiteers but everyone else isn’t? That’s just loony.

Are we conflating capitalism with free market economy ??
