We made fun of the Republicans for voting however many times in order to elect McCarthy their House leader, but it's as worrisome to me that the Democrats hardly had an election at all. It was just, "Nancy says it's Hakeem, so...." See a pattern here?

This actually doesn't match the stories I've read from a variety of reputable sources. I understand Nancy was grooming Adam Schiff as her successor for years, but that Hakeem is the one who's been doing the work to prepare for this role. He has broad support among his colleagues.

If you like that, you’ll love @davidsirota and @LeverNews reporting on the @SecretaryPete Ohio train debacle.
Pete Buttigieg has refused to reinstate and expand Obama-enacted, Trump-repealed rail safety rules, and yet liberals think their response to a mushroom cloud of carcinogens in Ohio should be to defend Pete — rather than demand he do his job. It’s grotesque.

Democrats and Republicans both had MONTHS between the Midterms ‘ final results and the official opening of Congress to sort out who would be their Speaker. GOP were chaos incarnate, Dems came to a unified consensus based on a trusted successful leader - why does that upset you?
