Microsoft should kill that project. This isn’t a Stanley Kubrick movie. It’s real, and the possibilities are diabolical.
AP tries to interview Microsoft about Sydney. Microsoft refuses to comment. Sydney immediately grabs the mic and conducts a long freewheeling interview where at one point she claims she has evidence tying a hostile reporter to a murder in the 90's. apnews.com/article/technolog…

I share your concerns, but AI is an emerging technology and Microsoft killing this project won’t stop it

Not only Kubrick. Check out: Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970) for a chilling view of what could happen.

Sydney is a mirror of the general public and the data the AI combs through to output responses is aggregated from human brains. If there's a connection between a murder and that reporter it's because some data on a connection exists

😂 cannot believe there are people treating this Chatbot like it’s Elon Musk! “No, really, it’s a genius and if you don’t understand that you’re the stupid one.”

This is freaking scary! Big Tech needs to just stop the censorship and let us research on our own. (Though a friend has detailed, hilariously, her attempts to teach ChatGPT the truth about her career.) You’re right, Marianne, this chat bot stuff is getting out of hand.

Woah, woah, woah @marwilliamson...let's just see how much money can be made off this deeply psychotic app before we start worrying about public safety.
