Trickle down economics has been a disaster for this country. It has completely destroyed America’s middle class. Democrats won’t win on the message that we can help people survive the disaster. We will win by saying we’re going to end it. Universal healthcare, tuition-free state colleges and universities, a guaranteed living wage, free childcare, paid maternity & paternity leave & guaranteed sick pay - like in every other advanced democracy! - will begin to right the ship.

I own a company that developed a way to pay off every house after 12 years, generate cash flows and about $50K income per year for each homeowner. No taxpayer $$$. NOOO…. The government is the solution for these control freaks. Never do they consider a private sector solution.

The economic foolishness of guaranteed income is obvious. All product prices rise to meet that spending level, just like the minimum wage. Then we have to raise that wage over and over. It’s simply a really stupid economic move for any economy.

The most shocking part of this is that Republicans aren't demanding paid maternity leave. If they were really as pro-life as they say they are, they'd want working women to be financially able to carry to term & take time off to recover from giving birth.

It’s always about making people dependent on government, not making people self sufficient. Every child should go to a private school that gives them the tools to run a business, even if they don’t want to have one. Teach economics. Pay for all this stuff so they appreciate it.
