Trickle down economics has been a disaster for this country. It has completely destroyed America’s middle class. Democrats won’t win on the message that we can help people survive the disaster. We will win by saying we’re going to end it. Universal healthcare, tuition-free state colleges and universities, a guaranteed living wage, free childcare, paid maternity & paternity leave & guaranteed sick pay - like in every other advanced democracy! - will begin to right the ship.

Well, we're not a democracy. We're a Republic. So, there's that.

no, what's destroyed the middle class is high tax rates, such that the average family ends up paying 1/2 their income back to various levels of government via taxes.

I agree with the Universal healthcare. It is a person's choice to have children....which will put undue burden on this planet in the long run. Just as the Industrial Rev. changed things, A.I. is knocking at labor reduction.

All of these programs will destroy the (already declining) value of the dolllar. Learn the lessons of Greece, Argentina, Zimbabwe, etc Financial markets don’t tolerate this stuff in a country such as ours.

Share the truth for both parties it was the REPUBLICAN "Trickle down economics". Neither the D or R party "won’t win on the message that we can help people survive the disaster." I do agree "Universal healthcare, ... democracy! - will begin to right the ship."

There is no trickle down economics. Every time there is a financial crisis the government gives so much aid to the already wealthy who then take the bulk and use it to buy stock in their own companies inflating the value. And giving themselves huge bonuses.

Americans have been brainwashed for generations to believe that rich people know best. Rich people are routinely given credit for grassroots efforts--for example, the New Deal, which Roosevelt promoted only after massive public protests forced his hand.
