Trickle down economics has been a disaster for this country. It has completely destroyed America’s middle class. Democrats won’t win on the message that we can help people survive the disaster. We will win by saying we’re going to end it. Universal healthcare, tuition-free state colleges and universities, a guaranteed living wage, free childcare, paid maternity & paternity leave & guaranteed sick pay - like in every other advanced democracy! - will begin to right the ship.

What has been a disaster for this country is government borrowing. Let's not take our eye off the ball.

Yaddah yaddah yaddah. I mean this in a loving way but Marianne we’ve already heard all that from democrats and here we are with unbearable cost of living and nuclear war. We need you to say you’re going to take on the establishment and fuck them up, just the same way trump did

These are definitely what's needed to right the ship - but I feel in an age of individualism, without mass protest, without unions, with too much focus on a silly culture war - actually getting real reform like these is not easy or close. The Democrats won't change unless forced.

Few policies would help the working class as much as #MedicareForAll. #GreenNewDeal would guarantee full employment and save the planet. Both can and should be done without a tax to “pay for it.” This should be your platform

We could create an economic Bill of Rights for Americans, and it would not be enough. We need stronger more democratic institutions to protect the public good. This will only happen when we ratify a new or democratic constitution.

Except ELECTED Dems don’t support these things, though their constituents, (even the Republicans, in some cases) certainly do. This is called “corruption.”

Trickle down did help us pull out of Carter's horrible economy.

I think the only free education should be given to those who will learn how to do "traditional" blue collar work (including jobs like nursing). No need to pay students tuitions for those who will be journalists (etc).

Who pays for it?
