Trickle down economics has been a disaster for this country. It has completely destroyed America’s middle class. Democrats won’t win on the message that we can help people survive the disaster. We will win by saying we’re going to end it. Universal healthcare, tuition-free state colleges and universities, a guaranteed living wage, free childcare, paid maternity & paternity leave & guaranteed sick pay - like in every other advanced democracy! - will begin to right the ship.

There is literally no such thing as trickle down economics. It literally does not exist, and never has. It is purely an academic thought exercise, and has no real-world implementation. You clearly know nothing about it.

The gold standard contained deficits in government spending.

Yes. Sorely needed, but so is (realistically) paying for it all—and ensuring that the government departments running the programs are lean and cost effective. If the plan doesn’t include these things as well as a balanced budget, that win is unlikely to materialize. Just sayin’.

It’s really surprising that you have a “scarcity” mindset rather than an “abundance” one. I’m glad I didn’t hear this message when I was poor and fall prey to the victim mentality you are now promoting.

Wrong. Bill Clinton did that when he deregulated exec pay. Supply side is why middle class no longer lives in 800 sq ft homes. Take a class.

Too big. Start smaller. 1) #UBI (approx $500/mo per human) 2) Bust the European+Canadian Cartel that is price-fixing the cost of medicine Outside of USA. 3) Fix the Fentanyl problem. College will fix itself (or perish). Wages will fix themselves. Housing will fix itself.

Trickle up taxation hasn't done any better. It's socialized losses and privatized gains.
