What happened in East Palestine, Ohio is a feature - not a bug - of unfettered, unregulated corporate power. Obama tried to regulate more hazardous material on trains, then ended up caving to railroad industry pressure. Union workers warned about faulty brakes and other safety measures, and the same railroad executives who denied them sick pay ignored their voices. This isn’t about just one incident; it’s about the dictatorial and deadly power of corporations that put their short term profits before the safety, health, and well-being of people and planet. The corrupt system that protects them, We the People need to disrupt.

Would you cave? So many thought that Obama wouldn't but he surely did.

We've seen this with BP in 2010 and we will continue to see these avoidable catastrophes happening as long as these corporate led politicians continue to push for deregulating safety measures to save a few $ million that end up costing communities $ billions in cleanup & lives.

.@Jim_Jordan—who hasn’t paid a single *ounce* of attention to the train derailment disaster in Ohio despite being a representative OF THE STATE—is accusing Biden of ignoring the crisis there. Hey Jim, did you know that this crisis was a result of Trump’s ‘historic deregulations’?

You should run against capitalism. The appetite for that kind of campaign is only growing more and more, as private ownership of the economy consolidates and people start to see through the system

Fantastic GaslitNation episode on the topic. East Palestine is uniting citizens across the board in their horror at the spectacle & implications of this disaster as much as the political class is united in selling the rest of us out. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

It's always the corporate assholes who get the money and bail outs while the workers suffer
