Oil companies have successfully blocked California from implementing a new law banning new oil and gas drilling within a half-mile of homes, schools or hospitals. Voters now need to approve the law in a 2024 ballot measure for it to take effect.

Nope. They have a direct financial interest in making money off of selling oil. End of story. We need to put them out of business.
