The choice is clear. You can either vote for republicans who will continue to increase police budgets or you can vote for democrats who will feign solemnity and concern every time someone gets killed by cops and then continue to increase police budgets

The George Floyd Justice in Policing 2021 passed the Dem House, only failed in Senate because Manchin & Sinema wouldn't allow filibuster reform. I know what you mean; even that bill increased funding. But a broad brush on the issue of police reform isn't accurate. GOP MUCH worse.

I’m from Chicago, an overwhelmingly (D) city, like most. City Council continues to increase the police budget, while disinvested communities are left to fight over crumbs. I second the observation that bigger cop budgets =/= less crime.

Are they? Rhetorically, sure. In practice, not really. There's not an active politician in DC of either party who's done more to increase police budgets, militarize them, lessen accountability, weaken civil liberties and enable blatantly rascist policing tactics than Joe Biden.
