If we’re going to change the world, it’s going to take more than doing different things. It’s going to take becoming different people. It’s not enough to say that we want more compassionate and merciful policies. We need to become more compassionate and merciful people.

I admire this but, I think we have to go deeper then just changing out the people in a broken political system. Sure, you can change the players but the game remains the same 🥸I’m 45 and the struggles have not changed in this country there’s still homeless, drugs, poverty 🤦🏻‍♀️🚨

Very true, Marianne. And well said, but it starts at the top. The uber wealthy .01% who truly run the world behind the curtain and the politicians who, in reality, work for them, have to practice what you say here. They have ALL the power in the system now. It starts w/ them.

Sounds great. But you don't get there by forcing people what to say or how to say it, which we have seen plenty of in the past 2 years. That actually causes backlash and makes things worse.

It's going to depend on folks like you, as well, who recognize that things are a mess and calling them out and refusing to support them. How can you support the most racist president in modern history? He is the architect of our current problems.
