After inflation, people making $7.25 minimum wage are earning less now than they were 60 yrs ago. The minimum wage hasn't been raised in 13 yrs, the longest gap govt. has gone without upping it since it the system was introduced in 1938. That's basically a war on the poor.

The tax rate on the rich during the booming 50/60s was over 90% but today is barely over 40%. So yes there is a war on the working class. It is also problematic when the average wealth of our political leaders is so high n newer young congressmen can鈥檛 afford to live in DC.

This is so misleading. Just over 1% of the workforce makes minimum wage or less. 60 years ago, it was almost a quarter of the country. Even in 1979, 13% only made minimum wage. While minimum wage has been stagnant, it has not been a factor to most modern workers.

Tell it to the Fed.

You have to fix the money or it might as well be putting a band-aid on a bullet hole.

It's not the minimum wage, it's the money supply.

There's been no votes to increase since Citizens United. I think it's related.
