There are ways in which this country is going backwards. No, you're not supposed to call the police on someone and the police get to come and simply decide to kill that person. That is not the way it works in a free society... #PoliceReformNow theguardian.com/us-news/2023…

Actually, that’s exactly what they think their solution is. Look at the IL gun laws and the sheriffs. Police are trained to deescalate through escalation and violence.

And we have to demand that that change.

You're cute. Where is this alleged "free society" you are describing?

It's an ideal. It isn't "cute" that so many people throughout our history have sacrificed their lives to expand the ideal. You sound as though nothing has ever gotten better; like abolition, women's suffrage, desegregation never made a difference in people's lives. But they did

You could've done more to get Andrew Yang elected Mayor of #NYC instead of Officer Adams...

It's also not even kind of the norm. Are you suggesting it is anything other than an incredibly rare event?

You need to understand that police are afraid when they go on calls. There are bad cops, that's a fact. They're human. They still feel fear. I'd love to see how you and their critiques = respond in their first hand perspective. The judgements often come with ignorance.

Those pork processing facilities are horrible places to work even under the best circumstances. Feel bad for this guy and the other workers
