With our grandkid's ability to breathe at risk, it's time to face that what we're doing now isn't working. Small incremental efforts - or as in this case false ones - will not be enough to save us. We need to begin now the just & systematic dismantling of fossil fuel extraction

The point, obviously, is that the US, and many European countries have done a lot, and reduced our carbon emissions dramatically, yet we are constantly asked to do more whilst countries like China continue to be ignored as they build more and more coal-powered plants.
