People should never have had to take out those loans to begin with. $1.8 trillion is about what we spend on defense in 2 yrs. Changing from war to peace economy means investing more in things that promote peace - i.e. healthcare and education - than on things that promote war.
Allow me to state the obvious: having 46 million people drowning in $1.8 trillion of student debt is not sustainable for working families, or for our country.

Ms. W., it sounds like you just gave your endorsement to Trump as a just reward for Not starting any wars while in office.

Well, there you have it, Marianne wants to defund the US MILITARY because God knows if we do that, so will the rest of the world, including China, Russia, Iran & North Korea. Hey Marianne, we tried that in the 1920s and 1930s, and it did not work out well. Here’s your sign!

At the barest minimum, college costs kept down, book racket broken up, and very, very low interest should've been required.

Well, the government inserting itself is the reason they needed loans. You can pretty much guarantee that if the American people are getting screwed, it’s because the government wanted to “help.”

I am not interested in forgiving the debt unless we get college costs under control first. This is absurd and it can't continue.

Allowing loans that are easily approved drives up tuition rates. Loans a symptom of a problem

How do you expect people to pay for college? It should NOT be on the backs of taxpayers. Want to go to college, pay for your college education. Maybe go talk to all the liberal professors to lower their salary so that college isn't so expensive.
