People should never have had to take out those loans to begin with. $1.8 trillion is about what we spend on defense in 2 yrs. Changing from war to peace economy means investing more in things that promote peace - i.e. healthcare and education - than on things that promote war.
Allow me to state the obvious: having 46 million people drowning in $1.8 trillion of student debt is not sustainable for working families, or for our country.

That’s not a solution. Universities shouldn’t be price gouging

That debt, this situation was specifically intended by those that killed NDSL & CETA programs. Jubilee is the word we need to get use to using. Global, individual, corporate, & National debts, shackles, removed. Cleans up the border problem, high rents, lowers inflation. Whew.

It's called Indentured Servitude. Capitalism is dependent on Serfs being in debt, the system doesn't work without it.

Sports programs alone bring in enough money so that no student should have to pay a penny for a college education.

Public colleges should be free in America.
