Perhaps Donziger’s greatest contribution has been keeping us aware of the sheer mendacity of the fossil fuel companies. It’s not just the violence they do to the earth that matters. It’s also the violence they’re willing to do to any people who get in their way.

The further away US corporations are from the Empire, the more lawless they become, which is routinely supported by the US legal system . It’s a hypocritical set of values that the US government operates under. 🙏☮️

Indeed. But how do you feel about the cobalt mines where people, including children, work in highly toxic conditions for a buck a day? It's hell on earth & has been exposed on Joe Rogan.
