And people are to go where, exactly?
Starting today it will be a crime to sleep on state-owned land in Missouri. That includes streets, parks and underneath bridges and overpasses. You will be fined $750 and face 15 days in jail.

Put them in jail? 3 hots and a cot, probably preferable to freezing in the street. What a place.

They are going to put them in jail, is the short answer. They’ll just sit in there for months, get released and be rearrested again.

Great question. And to what benefit is such a law to those in dire need of basic safety and security in our country.

This wouldn't hold up in a higher court, it's unconstitutional. Problem is, it costs money too challenge the constitutionality of getting arrested for this. The very reason the person is on the street is they have no money.

A few years ago, Miami spent millions of dollars trying to enforce absurd and ineffective laws like this. This deals with consequences, not core issues like a policy failure to maintain a mental healthcare infrastructure, affordable housing or generational wealth inequalities.

Persecuted for being poor…as Jesus wept. The middle class and lower income individuals have been destroyed by politicians catering to corporate interests and the wealthy removing any social safety need.
