And people are to go where, exactly?
Starting today it will be a crime to sleep on state-owned land in Missouri. That includes streets, parks and underneath bridges and overpasses. You will be fined $750 and face 15 days in jail.

If we had taken all the 95 billion for Ukraine (48 B +47 B from Omnibus) we could have purchased 475K $200K homes. There's 500k homeless in the US. Many homeless are addicts or actually choose to be homeless because they are tired of living check to check. It's just easier.

Fining & jailing the homeless takes depravity to another level.

Yes Exactly! ... Where do they go? ... and if they get fined ... How do they pay a $750 fine? ... This is absurd!

If the prisons and states really cared about rehabilitation, the inmates could be working some basic labor job 40 hrs a week, plus 8 hrs on the 15th day. Even if they got paid $8.50 or $9.00/hr, they could pay off the fine while doing the time, and still have a little left over.

Hopefully they will have shelter available that provides a nexus to services to get them appropriate help, based upon the sort of help they may need, be it mental health, addiction treatment, safety from an abusive situation, and so on.

The $750 is gonna be tricky to collect...can they take additional jail in lieu?
