And people are to go where, exactly?
Starting today it will be a crime to sleep on state-owned land in Missouri. That includes streets, parks and underneath bridges and overpasses. You will be fined $750 and face 15 days in jail.

How are these ppl supposed to come up with $750??? So, after 2 weeks they’re back on the streets & get fined ANOTHER $750??? So they’re being charged $1500/month to be homeless 🤔 Sounds like they’re trying to drive these ppl out of the state

Sounds like they’ll do 15 days in a warm jail cell instead of a cold sidewalk.

There should be a civil rights lawsuit in this as in most counties there is no affordable housing option for even service workers. This hatred for the poor needs to stop. Thank you for your advocacy;)

How is a homeless person supposed to come up with $750? What happens if they don't pay it? Who pays for their housing and meals while in the slammer? Whose idea was this?

For starters, Mega churches, they have massive facilities. ‘Prosperity Christians’ surly would help the “least of these my brother”, surly they will open their doors? Didn’t all those Mega churches in Texas open their doors for immigrants? Oh right, bused to VP residence.

This would never hold up in court. You're too poor to afford housing so we are going to jail you. Very unconstitutional.

Not a housing crisis, a mental health and drug addiction crisis. Treat it as such.

Depends on their malfunction. Some to insane asylums, some to drug rehab’s, some to prison for criminal activity.

Marianne, it is incredibly easy to get welfare, free rent, and other public benefits but the majority of the homeless are drug users and won't go sign up. Why should public property become the third world?

Shelters. Friends. Relatives. You seem to believe leaving them on the streets is a long term solution. Or worse, you believe by getting these people to do something that benefits them it’s overreach. Why?? Liberals love dependency on govt. it strengthens their brand. 💡
