The US should stop this travesty and drop the charges against Assange. The punishment he has already received is draconian, meant as a dire warning to journalists to not go pokin’ around now ya’all.

It would be a terrible mistake and a big blow to free speech for Julian Assange to walk free without a full trial of the situation. Because letting Julian walk without challenging the underlying laws does nothing for anyone but Julian.
