Our war economy: The current defense budget is now $858B, $45B more than Biden even asked for. The 7-35 fighter jet is a disaster but the program building it will continue & costs over $1.7T. Our defense economy is not about national security; it's about corporate profits

A new aircraft carrier costs $15b to build but can be taken out with a $5mm missile. An aircraft carrier battle group costs over $1b per month to operate at sea. Does anyone do any cost benefit analysis at the DOD or the House Armed Services Committee?

It’s a product development company with a jobs program. It is not solely concerned with defending this country. The budget of the product development needs to be separately evaluated. And a more fundamental question needs to be asked about the mission. Worldwide sales? Really?

Practically our entire military budget is about corporate profit. War is big business and exceedingly profitable for them.
