Outside forces don't need to take away our freedoms once we ourselves surrender our freedom of thought. Not questioning an unjust system leads to accommodating to an unjust system leads to acquiescing to an unjust system. Then it's over, before you even realized it happened.

You can’t warn against government overreach while at the same time undercutting the 2nd Amendment. It’s the only real leverage against overreach.

Read the 2nd Amendment and what it actually says. Common sense gun safety laws, including an assault weapon ban, do not “undercut” the 2nd Amendment. Our greatest leverage against overreach is in the voting booth.
