Ten yrs ago today one of the greatest tragedies in our history occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary. A second tragedy is that 10 yrs later we still haven't elected enough people to stand up to the NRA & prevent these shootings. America fails its children w such casual disregard.

"Inalienable rights" not in the Constitution, it's in the Dec of Ind - rights "to life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness." It says govt's job is to "secure those rights", clearly NOT HAPPENING in the case of our children. Stop trying to defeat the Declaration of Independence.

You're showing that you have absolutely no understanding of what rights are. They didn't begin or end with the foundation of the US federal government. Rights are conditions of humanity which predate the establishment of government. Governments are formed to preserve rights.
