With fusion the single greatest discovery on the path to cheap and clean energy, the govt. couldn't help itself yesterday. It touted first and foremost how this discovery will help us create more nuclear bombs, using meaningless words like "deterrent" & "national security." 1/2

We are literally trained to think insanely. We do NOT need more nukes. "Mutually Assured Destruction" is meaningless if you're dealing with a madman. Already the nuclear industry is claiming the fusion discovery for itself & we're all just supposed to go along. REFUSE. 2/2

Most Americans only look as far as having a job and paying the bills. Very simple minded people

I agree ... we already have to many ... "Nuclear Bombs" ... we don't need ... "Fusion Bombs"!

They sell it through corporate media, let's just call the increased 45 billion modernization or readiness. Forget the 1% benefit the most from the largest government social service program.

I'm also suspicious of the ongoing cost to consumers. Why all this, when solar and wind energy doesn't seem to take as much to generate.

Oh no! They went there right away.

And we already have an extraordinary nuclear fusion reactor drenching our planet in limitless ***free energy*** at all times. Fortunately our planet rotates so the sun’s wealth is shared equitably! #DefundTheEmpire

ur so right and its truly sad to see bc if it wasn’t for these nuclear war profiteers fusion would be such an amazing discovery that could lead to clean sustainable energy production

It’s really sad. Instead of focusing on innovation, exploration, our government immediately jumps to violence, terrorism, and evil. We truly need that department of peace more than ever!
