I don’t think we can begin a new chapter in America and initiate a season of repair until we face the fundamental truth that the last 40+ years have been a period of spectacular betrayal of the democratic principles on which we purport to stand. Covert corporate rule is tyranny.

I think everyone needs to be represented. We’ve lost that. Old, young, liberal, conservative, minorities, majorities, the homeless, the greedy pharma exec, etc. This country belongs to all of us and as long as we try to force it to only work for one group, we lose.

You do realize that corporate rule is a feature of Capitalism do you not?
If you're a private corporation and you "donate" to a politician to gain an economic advantage over your competition, that is very Capitalist, a mutually beneficial agreement between two parties, and the point of Capitalism is to increase your profits, beating your competition.

We need to Push Back and say No to the Legalized Bribery that's been going on in Washington DC and State Houses throughout this Country!

I agreed with your first three words “I don’t think”. But the rest is garbage. The problem is too much government power and spending. Govt screws up everything and you just want more of it

Unfortunately, it may take more than just repair. Tyrants don't give up power easily.

Hear, hear! Stay on this message forever. Nothing happens without a culture change, and that begins with creating powerful, non-corporate media.
