4 justices have suggested they are sympathetic to this theory. If the court endorses it, it would give State Legislatures sole power over Voting Laws, Congressional Redistricting and potentially even the Selection of Presidential Electors and the certification of elections!

Psst, we aren't a Democracy, which is majority rule via direct vote (we have this at the local and state levels btw), the founders ensured it was not, they hated the idea of the people actually having the final say.
