I didn't fully realize the extent of misogyny in this culture until I saw how often I'll say something that makes a guy insanely angry, yet then when a man says the same thing the guy will say "Hey dude, I know you mean well but I really hope you'll look at this a different way."

Sorry that you get so much hate. I appreciate your words.

That may not be misogyny, the guy may be just as angry with another guy, but he has to express it differently because two testosterones are combustible, they have to negotiate carefully before dueling to the death.

You are too kind to toxic masculinity. Often when a man says something very inappropriate other men will just say nothing at all.

people respond more emotionally to women, and feel entitled to do so

I’m not insanely angry, just sad when I read this. Can we please heal this awful men versus women thing? The truth is men are good, but the worst behavior gets all the press coverage. Most of us don’t dare say anything at all for fear of being shouted down.

Its almost like men and women have difference social expectations and roles. Fascinating...

reality check: women almost always know better, and men don't. That's why you never hear of "woman-splaining." Most of us come to realize this over time. Women are a hell of a lot more deft at social nuances. And, thus, their faux pas are considered intentional.

Nothing you said explains misogyny
