Everybody’s touting a generational change in Democratic leadership in the House, but we shouldn’t kid ourselves. There was no fundamental change there whatsoever. Wall Street remains firmly in control, as it was with a woman in her 80s and is now with a man in his 50s. 1/2

That there was not even a peep of a challenge to Hakeem Jeffries is very disappointing. The question is bigger than whether or not Biden needs to be challenged. The entire system needs to be challenged. 2/2

"That there was not even a peep of a challenge to Hakeem Jeffries is very disappointing." Just as interesting is that if you poke around here it appears most Lefties are quite proud of the "unity" the Democrats displayed. Others see as you. Lockstep.

Hakeem Jeffries has never hidden his contempt for the Squad and the left generally. Beyond embodying everything they claim to hate in politics, he campaigned against all of them. And yet the Squad cheers him. The Squad aren't radicals, just establishment frauds with no dignity.
