An out of control externalized violence plagues our society mainly perpetrated by the use of guns. But an equally out of control internalized violence plagues us too, perpetrated by a business model that leaves millions of people in constant survival mode without hope of escape.

Couldn't agree more. Economic inequality leaves people feeling as if they're always competing for the last piece of pie. It weakens neighborly bonds, foments distrust, & doesn't allow room for cultivation of self. People feel under siege from the weight of economic insecurity 😢
