Our nation is struggling mightily with high inflation and teetering on recession. A rail shutdown would be a death blow to the economy. Whether or not rail workers are underpaid is debatable. Keeping our country from a deep recession is not.

Why doesn’t he force the rail companies to give them 10 days of sick time per year? What Americans, whether republican or democrat, would take issue with that? All American jobs should provide a minimum of 7 sick days per year.
