That is something I can support. At least for those who make less than 60k. I’d like to take it a step further however…educational institutional financial reform. We will go broke if we don’t reform that system. Harvard doesn’t need another billion endowment.

The main reason for the debt is that college costs, including housing have greatly exceeded the overall inflation rate as well as earnings from part time and summer jobs held by students. If tuition rates were adjusted to inflation adjusted 1970 rates, costs would be 2/3 less.

Take a look back at the years Reagan was governor of CA: he worked very hard to raise the cost of tuition at the Univ of Calif system because otherwise "anyone" could afford an education and that wasn't acceptable. We need to fix that: education benefits all of society.
