The main reason we should cancel the college loan debt is because it should never have occurred to begin with. From the start, it represented a terrible scam by which financial institutions created a profit center out of the admirable desire of our young to better their lives.

Sure but I sacrificed, like many others to make my way through school and pay my debts. You're diminishing my sacrifices and struggles to pave the way for those that aren't willing to put in the hard work.

Do we have to cancel the debt?.. What would it do if the loans suddenly had zero interest and all loan payments went to paying the principal? Why is this not a talking point?

How do we lower education costs going forward? Why has education (& healthcare) costs skyrocketed past the inflation rates of other services? Won't a forgiveness be needed again if no fundamental changes are achieved?
