$500M yacht but he can’t tolerate a union.
On #BlackFriday, I stand in solidarity with Amazon workers who are on strikes & walkouts all over the world. If Amazon can afford to pay its CEO $214 million, if Jeff Bezos can afford a $500 million yacht, Amazon can afford to give workers decent raises & end its union busting.

Socialism is not kind or green - look at China. It is the most oppressive form of government. It promises everything, takes everything, and gives nothing back except imprisonment, live human organ harvesting, and enslavement. It's failed wherever tried.

I once worked in a plant where a guy was mentally ill. Stopped taking his meds, went wild and kidnapped his foreman, real tough stuff. He got his job back because of union arbitrator. Even the Union guys didn’t want him, but they had to take him and he got back pay

Redistribution of the maker's success and earnings is easy when one is reallocating other people's money, being super judgmental in the process.

Have you ever worked in a union shop? They have their place in certain environments, but they also make it onerous to get rid of bad employees. They also cause inefficiencies. I’ve seen the BS. Light bulb burns out, can’t replace because electrician’s job. He take 1 week to come

I’ve also seen strikes up close. They are notorious for sabotaging equipment in the days leading up to end of contract.Seniority for jobs is another issue. Guys get plumb jobs just because they’ve been there 20 years, not because they’re the most qualified.

So my point is this. Unions are useful in a manufacturing setting, I know this from experience. But they’re very complicated and have major disadvantages. They tend to be old in their methods and make competing harder for American companies. With China around, that’s a problem

Unions are the biggest reason for moving jobs overseas. They can cause more harm than good for both employees and the company. Not in all cases of course, but in many. Amazon workers are very well paid and the few people I know that do or have worked for them loved it there

Isn't it amazing how for many ... Arrogance ... comes with the acquisition of wealth!

The power of AmazonWaPo is such that focus will stay on Elon as bad while they union bust, fall short on space projects, while openly screwing their wage employees & small businesses.

A half-billion dollar yacht is a wee bit excessive.
