If Americans were offered a genuine alternative to the neoliberal system of economics for that for the last 40 years has put corporate profits before their health and well-being, I think that they would take it.

Hold the corporations responsible for the damage they cause. Meaningfully. Like, far in excess of any CBA they could make. Express corporate fines for malfeasance as a percentage of revenue. Not profit: revenue. Hit the bad actors hard with no repercussions to ethical companies.
